Summary by Kylara (E-mail)

A young girl sleeps peacefully in her home. She has brown hair that is a bit longer than shoulder length. Next to her, an alarm clock (a pig wearing a hula outfit) dances frantically, trying to wake her up. The clock reads 8:30. The girl opens her eyes, then closes them again. An SD, crayon-ish version of her runs up a grassy hill, holding a large flag with '8:30' printed on it. { Screen Shot } Someone yells "SCHOOL!" from a very far off distance. The girl springs up in bed, and picks up her pig clock (which is exhausted), looking at it. She starts screaming that it's 8:30. The screen freezes, and the girl's voice narrates: "Kurata Sana, eleven years old."

[ Title Screen: I'm an Elementary School Girl With a Pimp ]

A blooming cherry tree is peacefully showering petals. A very large squirrel (half the size of the tree) is in a hole in the tree, shaking a nut. The whole set-up turns out to be a hat of some sort on a woman's head, who is reading the newspaper which is covering her face. Sana is berating this woman, her mother, for not waking her up earlier, as she frantically waves her arms like a windmill. Her mother calmly says over Sana's whining that if she sleeps well, she grows well, and if she oversleeps, she'll grow more. Sana is still ranting that she's late for school now and everything (talking very fast). Her mother finally lowers the paper, revealing a woman with a peaceful looking face. She says, "Good morning, Sana." However, Sana isn't there anymore. She notes this and smoothly continues, "But you're not there."

[ Sign : "Sana and Mama's Breakfast." The screen is a large blue frame, with odd looking animals hanging from the top and on the bottom. It has two pointy white ears and a white body, with blue bat wings and a heart on its chest. Even though its name isn't revealed until episode nine, here it is: Babbit. (From its name, it seems that it's a cross between a rabbit and a bat. ^___^) Scene changes are often marked with such signs in between, with Babbit making some comment on the side or simply reading the title of the next scene. { Screen shot } ]

Sana is hurriedly splashing water on her face, blow-drying and brushing her hair, and stuffing her face through her shirt. She poses nicely in her clothes, with sparkles around her as she says, "Ok!" [She now has two pigtails.] Running through the hallway with her backpack on, she passes a woman vaccuming to whom she says, "Good morning, Shimura-san!" who replies back with another good morning. Her mother drives by (in the hallway) in a little red convertible (looks like a Barbie car) as Sana says to herself that she wonders why she oversleeps every morning. Her mother stops her rampage by holding a red mallet and bonking Sana on the head. Sana sits down next to her mother as they drive back the other way, saying that even if she leaves now, she'll still be marked tardy!

With a fan spread in front of her face, her mother says that she doesn't care if Sana is tardy or not - her mother's heart is not nice enough to let Sana go without eating her breakfast. (The food is some croissants, fried eggs, a salad, and what looks like steak? and some other random veggies.) They're sitting at a table, with Sana across from her mother. Sana is staring at the food with a weirded out look on her face. As her mother finishes talking, a hand attached to a spring/lever of some sort pops out, holding a bottle of milk to Sana, who says very slowly, "Ready to eat..."

Sana stuffs all sorts of food in her mouth as fast as she possibly can. Her mother calmly says that she doesn't have to hurry; school isn't going anywhere. Cheeks bulging, Sana holds up a clean plate to her mother, who says that she may go. Sana dashes off. A young man appears, wearing sunglasses and a suit. He tells her good morning, and isn't it nice weather? Sana says good morning to him, greeting him as "Rei-kun." Sana shakes her head back and forth, talking very quickly, saying, "I'm really in deep deep trouble 'cause I woke up and looked at the clock and it was already 8:30 so I got up, got dressed, did my hair, brushed my teeth and I was all ready to go and then Mama stopped me and I had to eat breakfast and now I'm even later!" [Note: Not only did she say that with out any breaks, the music was making a funny noise. Sort of like a mess-up noise with a beat. ^_~] Rei tells her that he'll give her a ride, and she exclaims that he's the nicest guy in the whole world, and jumps up and clings to his neck. As she's saying in the background, "I love you love you love you," she also narrates to the audience that as she says that this handsome young man is her boyfriend and pimp, Rei-kun! She leaves with Rei, calling to her mother over her shoulder that she's leaving now. Her mother calls back for them to drive safely but recklessly! Sana says that person is her mother, a famous writer and winner of the Aoki Award. [Note: In the translation notes, they mention that the Aoki is the equivalent of the Pulitzer for writing.]

Rei is gearing up the car, preparing for a rampaging run...

       [ Sign: "Rei-kun's careful driving" ]

The car s-l-o-w-l-y backs out of the house, much to Sana's horror. She tells him that he's going really really slow; she could walk faster than this! A man walking by passes the car, and Babbit is riding on his shoulder, saying that she's going to be late. As Sana chants "Hurry up!" frantically, Rei says that it's his duty to get her to school safely for certain. Sana looks up at him with shiny eyes, and says his name in a touched voice. While she gazes at him, a little kid passes the car, with Babbit on his shoulder yelling that kindergartners are passing them. Hugging Rei's neck again, Sana exclaims that she loves him and that it's the only way to travel! He's so considerate of her; he can drive as slowly and carefully as he wants! [Since she grabbed onto him, he can't see where he's going, and the car is now hurling and hopping down the road, narrowly missing pedestrians.] Rei is screaming his head off while Sana keeps repeating that she loves him and that he's wonderful.

The car pulls up to the school, with a bandage on the roof. As Sana gets out of the car, she tells him that they're here safely; thank you! Rei looks like he just had a heart attack. He says that there's no problem; he's just doing his job. As she leaves, he calls her and says that he's sure she remembers this, but there's a live broadcast of Kodomo no Omocha ["Child's Toy"] after school, so he'll pick her up then. Sana replies, "Roger!" and kisses him on the cheek. Right then, the screen freezes, and Babbit pops up, blowing a whistle. He says that now, he'll explain some stuff. When Sana was little, her mother had her join a theatrical company called 'Komawari'. Things went on, and Sana is now a popular young child actress starring on the show 'Kodomo no Omocha' [for short, Kodocha]. He finally turns around, and sees that Sana is still kissing Rei on the cheek [because he paused the screen]. He frantically tells them to stop kissing; cut cut cut cut!

[ Sign: It was fine until now, but..." ]

Sana is running down the halls, thinking to herself that it was fine until now, but... As she puts her hand on the classroom door [Class 6-3], she thinks that a few weeks ago, they changed classes, and that this one really has problems. As she slides open the door, you see a bunch of everything - from boys to desks to soccer balls - flying around. She thinks, "See what I mean?" A woman is desperately saying, "Stop it, everyone! Go back to your desks! Put them back! Class is supposed to have already started!" Sana thinks, "You see, the boys started teasing the teacher, and they're getting worse every day." The teacher starts weeping into her hands, as the girls around her look on worriedly. Sana thinks that she's crying again, and wonders how such a cry baby can be a teacher. Two of the girls realize that Sana is there, and run up to her. The light-brunette (her name is Hisae) says that it happened again, and the dark haired girl (Aya) says that it's happening again, and it's getting worse. A third girl (who's not a regular character) asks Sana if she's seen how far behind they are in their lessons. [Note: In the translation notes, it mentions that in Japan, the country sets the lessons, and the teachers use those lessons and simply keep up. In other words, their class is super-duper behind.]

Sana glares at the back of the room, and thinks in her mind, "Hayama Akito... this is the guy who started it all and is controlling these thugs." The guy in question is a brown-blonde guy sitting up on what looks like a shelf. He looks very bored, and has headphones on. { Screen Shot } To his right is a boy named Tsuyoshi, and to his left is another boy named Gomi. Sana thinks to herself that Hayama is a devil. Walking through the classroom, she announces, "Where's my desk?" (All action has stopped as the class stares at her.) As she reaches the back of the classroom, she finds a desk with a Babbit and the word "Sana" (in English) carved in the metal. Hayama has his foot on it. She says, "Yo, good morning Hayama Akito-kun. Boy, you look like you ate some rotten fruit which seems to be normal for you so you might as well be wearing one of those barf-face masks how are you today BAD? (The second sentence was all strung together.) Hayama closes his eyes, ignoring her. Sana makes a face, thinking, "WHY YOU?!?"

Hitting the desk with her hand, she says, "Well, this is MY desk, so get your damn stinky feet off it. Make your little hired thugs cut it out! Come on move it move it! All of this is your fault you know..." (That was all strung together, and as she yells she tries to pull the desk away.) He moves his foot up a bit, and since Sana was pulling on her desk so hard, she rockets off in the opposite direction. She lands with a boom in the complete silence.

Sitting down at her desk, she says, "Teacher! I have a question about last night's homework. I didn't understand because I had to leave early for work." The teacher, wiping her eyes with a handkerchief, says, "What part, where, Sana-chan?" Sana-chan replies that it's over here, and starts talking about the problem. [Note: Fractions with variables.] Two of the boys in the back of the room (one of them is Gomi) start yelling that their stomachs hurt. The teacher looks back, but Sana directs her back to the problem, saying she doesn't understand it at all, and that don't look back there! They're faking it anyway. The teacher apologizes and carries the book up to the chalkboard, and as she is poised to write, a whole line of the boys [excluding Hayama and Tsuyoshi] holding balloons throw them at the board, yelling, "Pain, pain, go away!" Dust explodes, making all the girls at the front of the classroom (the boys are at the back) cough. The dust has really collected on the teacher, and Sana thinks to herself that shoot, Mitsuya-sensei is going to cry. Mitsuya-sensei makes a few sobbing noises, and Sana says quickly for her not to sob. The teacher bursts out crying, and Sana thinks, "What an idiot..." The boys [again excluding Hayama and Tsuyoshi] cheerfully exclaim in unison that they're all better now.

The door bursts open, and another man comes in, yelling at them to shut up! He can hear them down the hall. The boys yell that here is Mitsuya-sensei's boyfriend; they've been going steady for a loong time! The man puts his hands on Mitsuya-sensei's arms, telling her that she has to pull herself together. [The boys are catcalling at them in the background.] She's still crying. Spreading his arms out in front of her, he says, "Do you little monsters really think you can get away with this?" Sana cuts in momentarily, saying, "Yeah! Let them have it, Tanaka-sensei!" As Tanaka-sensei starts lecturing them, Hayama pulls out a Polaroid photo, with the actual image facing him so that we can't see it. The teacher abruptly stops talking. Sana asks him what's wrong, as he and Mitsuya gloomily turn around, facing the chalkboard. Sana keeps asking what's going on and what's wrong, and why are they grinning...What's that reaction? She sees Hayama put the photo back in his jacket. She wonders if Hayama found the teachers' weak spot. The classroom then explodes into chaos again, and Mitsuya runs off crying, while Tanaka runs after her. Hayama is calmly eating some bread. Sana repeats to herself, "What's going on? What's going on?" From the TV broadcast studio, you hear her scream, "WHAT'S GOING ON?"

[ Sign : "Kodomo no Omocha LIVE!" The Babbit on top is freaked out; the bottom one is sleeping. ]

Sana is ranting, jumping up and down, yelling that ever since sixth grade started, life there has been hell! Her hairdresser is trying to do her hair, but she's moving way too fast. She keeps yelling very fast stuff like, "Oh my GOSH, it just sucks! Life sucks! Why me? Why me? Why can't my life be more like those nice little shoujo manga?!? I have to have a DEVIL for a schoolmate!" As Sana continues ranting, she voices over as we look at the rest of the people in the room. She says that this is the dressing room for the kids starring in the TV show "Kodomo no Omocha". Today is a special show (live), so everyone is very nervous. Babbit pops in and says, "Maybe not." Sana finshes her rant, yelling that it's all that devil, Hayama Akito's fault! Looking in the mirror, she asks her hairdresser (Suzi-san - I think it's a guy) if this is how she's supposed to look today on the show? [Her two braids are sticking straight up in the air.] A frazzled Suzi-san replies that Sana moves too much.

A Polaroid is shot of them, and Sana asks Rei-kun what he's doing. Holding it between two fingers, he replies, "This week's: Sana-chan!" As Suzi brushes her hair, he says that her manager is really cute. He's good looking and popular, too! Sana asks (very funnily) if Suzi likes Rei-kun. Suzi says of course he does! Sana replies for Suzi not to touch him; Rei-kun is her boyfriend and pimp! Suzi-san horrifiedly asks, "PIMP? Do you know what that means, Sana-chan?" Sana replies of course she does; she gives him her allowance every month! Isn't that right, Rei-kun? (That is all she knows about a pimp. Anyway, Sana has her thumb and index finger in an 'O' shape, with little hearts springing out.) Suzi-san looks over to Rei, who makes a weird sign with his hand (must be affirmative), and Suzi says, "Really?"

[Note: 'This Week's: Sana-chan!' is something repeated in every episode.]

Babbit zooms into the screen, changing scenes.

Sana walks down the hall, holding a script and ranting to Rei. He asks her if that's the 'mischievious boy?' She says that sounds too cute for him; he's a devil! He tells her not to do very dangerous stuff; she is a girl. She starts spinning around in a circle, saying that her special techniques from Komawari should put him in his place. As she describes all the stuff she'll do to him (i.e. breaking his leg), she accidentally slams her script into another guy's stomach. [He has spiked hair.] Looking up at him (her script is still digging into his stomach), she exclaims that it's Mamo-chan from the band, Tokio! [Jukuji no News starts playing.] He says that he hasn't seen her in awhile, and she thanks him for doing 'Jukuji no News' for Kodomo no Omocha. [Note: The real band 'Tokio' does the OP song, 'Jukuji no News' for Kodomo no Omocha. That's a real member making a cameo...] He says he's glad she likes it, and is she going to be on Kodomo no Omocha today? She replies that she will, and he says that he always watches it. She swoops past him, and as the script is gone, Mamo-chan falls over. She says, oops. Standing up, he says that he'll see her later.

A logo for a show reads "Zenjirou's Kodomo no Omocha." A man with two very large buckteeth is standing at the front of a classroom (which is the tv set), talking about the new semester and how the beautiful cherry blossoms are blooming. Sana is sitting at a desk, with her chin resting in her hands as she sulks. He starts asking questions with added flair, to which Sana replies negatively every time. [I.e., Is your teacher beautiful? No. Is the new semester fun? Yeah, right.] As he says that he would LOVE to be a kid again, she says that he's an idiot. Going to her desk, everyone is watching them as he asks her questions. When he asks her how school is, she says that it's hell on earth. He repeats, "Hell on earth?" and she says, "YES! Zenjirou-sensei, a child's world is not as simple as you think. Only the law of the jungle remains!" Standing up, she exclaims, "It's survival of the fittest!" He repeats it confusedly, while she says, "Yes! Face it, Zenjirou-sensei, a weakling like you would be killed and eaten after a few minutes." [Zenjirou is looking worriedly back and forth between Sana and the camera.] She continues, "Our classroom is flooded with the tears of teachers! Everything flies around like swarming maggots, and are you listening to me? Those aren't boys, they're baboons!" [The crew that's filming this is sweatdropping, including Rei.]

Pointing her finger in the air, she says it's all his fault, that Hayama Akito-kun! [Zenjirou is thoroughly scared now.] Grabbing the camera so that her face is inches away from the recording screen, she yells, "I'm talking to you, Astro-turf for brains! Are you listening to me? Sixth grade student #36 HAYAMA AKITO!" At Hayama's house, the boy causing Sana's wrath is standing at the sink while the TV is playing. Sana's voice rings out from the TV screaming, "YOU YOU YOU YOU! IT'S ALL YOUR FAULT! I JUST GO TO SCHOOL AND GET CRAP THROWN AT ME BY YOUR LITTLE MONKEYS! WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU? LET ME GO, LET ME GO! HAYAMA!" While she's screaming, Hayama looks at the screen, and then looks away.

[ Eyecatch: The logo of 'Kodomo no Omocha' surrounded by lots of drawings of Sana and Hayama heads. The mallet in the logo hits it. { Screen Shot } ]

Sana is at her house now, laughing hysterically about how she feels better sinc she released all the pent-up anger. Her mother, sitting next to her, says that was very nice, but that her clothing choice was a little sober. [Mama's hat looks like a miniature New York City, with the squirrel climbing the Empire State Building a la King Kong.] Rei says worriedly that he hopes that Hayama-the-Devil-kun isn't thinking of revenge against Sana-chan...Sana puts a hand up, and says that there's nothing to worry about; Hayama is SO chicken, he doesn't even pick his nose without help. Her mama comments calmly that couldn't he just get his little subordinates in class to help? Sana says, "Mama..." in a worried voice, and her mother continues, saying that she's only talking about 'what if.' After all, because of Sana, Hayama's crimes are known nation-wide due to her TV appearance. She should expect repercussions, if Hayama really is such a devil. [Wolves are howling in the background.] After a moment of silence, Rei says that he'll be by her side. Hurling herself at him, Sana says very quickly (how else?) that they can take his revenge and stamp 'return to sender', right? Her mother gets up, saying twelve hours to deadline - they'd better get to bed. Sana replies yes, and to Rei, she says that they'll sleep together! Rei replies yes, and gets up from the couch. Her mother suddenly appears darkly behind Rei, and says, "Remember... until she graduates, don't teach her more than a kiss on the cheek." Rei replies that he understands.

       [ Sign : Singing Sana-chan! ]

Sana is in her pajamas, standing in bed. Rei is tucked in the covers next to her. She has a little pink machine, with a speaker on it (the speaker has a black Babbit on it). It's small enough to fit in her hand. Sana yells a message into the machine, and it plays back the message as many times as she wants. Holding a guitar that looks like a huge pink Babbit, she starts rapping. ^___^ It's basically about her day, in her own wonderful words. She ends the song, saying that she'll end it with this love song. Rei says that this was a love song? She says yes, and promptly falls asleep in his arms. He looks at her fondly (or so we guess; he still has his sunglasses on), and as she sleeps, he leaves the room, closing the door.

Repeating the sequence with the alarm clock from the beginning of the episode, Sana is again late. At the breakfast table, her mother comments that she's two minutes earlier than yesterday. [Her hat is still the city one.] As Sana stuffs food in her mouth, the doorbell rings. Shimura appears, and says that the editor is here. She thanks Shimura, who lets the editor in. As Sana holds up her clean plate, the editor appears, who says, "Good morning, Sensei! I came for the manuscript!" Suddenly, Sana and her mother vanish, and the editor starts yelling for her to wait. The car pulls out like it did yesterday, with people passing the car as Sana freaks out about the time. As they pull up to school, Sana says thanks; they actually made it on time! As she leaves, he calls her back, asking her if she wants him to escort her to the classroom. She asks him if he's worried, and he replies of course. Sana jumps into hyper mode, and says that she can use her 'Cossack Kan-fu' step that she learned at Komawari. [I think it's Russian? music that plays.]

Holding up a little blue machine, he says that he'll give this to her, just in case. It's basically a blue machine with Babbit on it, with several buttons. Rei says that it's a vibrating communications device called Buruucha. He continues, saying that when you turn on the switch, they can communicate no matter how far away they are. She says it's like a 'hot line' (in English)? He says that they can test it out right now. As they turn it on, they both start vibrating so much that they can barely talk. Sana says that it works very well.

Running up the pavement, she says to herself that the machine is making her late for school. Suddenly, she's surrounded by a bunch of dark figures, and is on guard. It's actually the girls in her classroom, who warn her not to come to class that day. Apparently, the boys are planning to beat her up because of the TV show yesterday. Sana says that they're really simple, but not to worry - she's not going to just stand there and get beaten up. Looking through her bag, she says that not to worry, she can just get Rei-kun with that 'Buru-Buru' thing. She can't find it, and then suddenly remembers what happened. After she and Rei turned the Buruucha off, she gave it back to him, laughing and saying that it was interesting... and then he drove off, waving it in his hand. She wonders why he didn't notice...

The boys appear [excluding Hayama and Tsuyoshi], and Mami-chan (one of the girls) exclaims that they're here! The boys start talking, saying, "Kurata! Who do you think you are? You talked a little too much about Hayama-san for your own good! Just because you're cute doesn't mean you can do what you want." [Note: So, they ALL watch Kodocha.] Sana replies, "Odoroki-Momonoki-Sanshonoki!" [Surprise-Peach tree-Sansho tree..] She says there's nothing wrong with being cute. Turning to her friends, she tells them to hurry and go away, as she doesn't want them to get involved. They run off, saying that they'll get Tanaka-sensei.

Facing off with the guys, she says that they should look in the mirror so that they can see what it looks like to have no brains - even monkeys are smarter than them! They should remember that they're 'torano inoshi shi kita kitsune' [tiger, boar and fox]. The guys reply what? One of them says, "I don't know what that meant, but I don't like it!" Babbit pops in here, and says that she meant to say, "Tora no inokaru," or 'pawns being controlled.' They all leap at her, and say they'll beat her up. She repeats, "Beat-up?" A whole load of fists punch her in the face, and her head is all swollen up cartoon-style. Sana exclaims that she's beaten up! [This isn't really happening.]

A TV screen appears, and Kodomo no Omocha is on. Zenjirou asks if Sana is absent today, and at her desk is a yellow message board with a squirrel on it. The sign reads 'I'm absent today', and the students say that she's absent. The scene changes, and Zenjirou screams as a mummy-like Sana (all wrapped up in bandages) walks in. She narrates, saying that her come-back in a new form makes the program more popular than ever before. Another scene change, and the beat-up Sana sans bandages is on the beach with Rei. Sana narrates that because of all the chaos, she and Rei ran off together to Hawaii. A romantic scene plays, with Rei telling Sana that he loves her, and just as they're about to kiss - the press found them, with newspapers printed about the strange creature discovered in Hawaii. Another scene change, and Sana is again in bandages, surrounded by fans. She narrates that the first beat up talent, Kurata Sana, became known everywhere.

In the real world, Sana throws up her hands and exclaims that she's all beat-up. Realizing the boys are there, she thinks to herself that she forgot about the monkeys. The boys jump up, and Gomi yells that they're REALLY going to beat the crud out of her now! As they're about to hit her, Hayama's voice calls out, "What are you doing?" They look up, and Gomi says, "Hayama-san..." There is Hayama with a bag slung over his shoulder, looking as uninterested as he did last time. Sana thinks that here's the 'Boss Monkey.' Gomi asks Hayama if he saw Kurata humiliate him on TV last night, but Hayama just walks on, saying for them to leave her alone. Gomi protests a bit, but Hayama says, "Just leave her alone," and continues to walk, with Tsuyoshi following him. Gomi kicks a rock, and then they all walk off and follow Hayama. Sana wonders what he's thinking, while one of the guys asks Hayama what's in the bag. He replies, "Toys."

Tanaka-sensei is running down the hall, flanked by Aya, Mami, and Hisae. He's yelling that he'll come and save Sana. Sana is walking perfectly fine down the hall, swinging her backpack as she walks. The girls and the teacher reach her, and ask if she's ok. Sana replies that she's perfectly fine. The girls say that they would've been there sooner, but Tanaka-sensei was in the bathroom. He apologizes, and asks her if she's really fine? Sana says yes, and why don't they just go to class now?

As Sana opens the door, a bunch of plastic green guns go off, shooting colored ink. Mitsuya-sensei is being shot by all sorts of colored ink, screaming for them to please stop. Gomi says that this is lots of fun. The teacher asks what those were. The rest of the guys talk about how they're water guns that Hayama-san gave them, and that Hayama-san had the great idea to fill them with ink, rather than water. Hayama is holding a water gun as well, but isn't shooting it. As the boys surround Mitsuya-sensei, Sana says that this is starting again. Tanaka moves in front of her, yelling at them. They shoot the two teachers with the paint water guns, and they're covered in ink splots. Tanaka yells that he can't take this anymore; he's gonna -

Hayama says calmly from the back of the room, "You're gonna what?" Standing up, he says you're going to do what? Holding up the folded photo, he says that he can spread this, you know. As they glare at him, he replies that he knows the truth about you adults - everyone can know the truth. Holding up the water gun, he points it at the teachers - squirt! Hayama is suddenly shot with blue ink to the eye. The teachers look horrified.

Everyone looks around, finally seeing Sana, who is holding back a very surprised boy. { Screen Shot } She's holding one of the water guns. Sana says calmly, "You... cut it out." { Screen Shot } Hayama raises an eyebrow, and Sana looks back at him. They look at each other... Hayama reaches up and wipes some of the ink away with his sleeve.

Notes: Some things that aren't made too obvious by this summary are:

  • Hayama speaks mainly in a sort of emotion-less, dead monotone of a voice.
  • Sana is really hyper, and talks very fast without many (any?) breaks.
  • Rei is in his twenties.
  • Even though Babbit flies around during the show and makes comments, the characters don't actually acknowledge/notice him. Only us, the viewers, notice him. [He's actually an anime-only fixture, not manga.]
  • Sana's mother's unique headpieces are hats of some sort. That's a real squirrel on her head...
  • In the translation notes, it says that the show Sana is in, "Kodomo no Omocha", is a parody of popular show in Japan where famous children ad-lib a classroom comedy act for prizes.
