I know there are a lot of guys in HP, but seriously - did my first SEVEN RESULTS all have to be male?
I like my #1 result, like my #2 result, am highly amused by my #3 result, adore my #4 result, am extremely disturbed by my #5 result, somewhat bothered by my #6 result (I take excellent care of my hair), annoyed about my #7 result (::strangles #7 after reading Order of the Phoenix::), indifferent about being #8 although I do like her, amused by #9, and after that I really don't care, although it's interesting that Christina and I both got the lovable, round faced Gryffindor for #15. He always comes in last, doesn't he? Poor thing.
I NEED TO WORK. Darlings, how does my magazine cover look? For AP US.
I'm very worried. :x It's a lot of photoshop mishmash. Look okay? Andrew made fun of the seal in the upperleft and the collector's edition. Well, heavens me :P I was trying to be tacky with the collector's edition thing, though, because you ALWAYS see them and they're really, really ugly. Are you people doing bibliographies for this thing? :x I am. Is this unneccessary?
Have already changed the sharp lowerleft corner of the old capitol, thanks Stacy :)
Spoken words: 110 have fallen.
Just make it a blank sheet of paper with some crayon drawings of the American flag with seven or eight stars.

Whee. My browser crashed when I clicked on the link for the picture. Odd, but I think unrelated. The second time around, I can say "Ah ha. Very nice. What did you make it with?"
Posted by Spencer @ 08/06/2003 03:19 AM PST
What a drag. I can't belive I'm still working on this.
Why is Spencer awake on people's blogs at 3:19 in the morning? I have an excuse, I'm working.
.. Sorta. ARGH. ::still working::
Photoshop, my love. Adobe Photoshop 7.0 ~~
Posted by Janice @ 08/06/2003 05:10 AM PST
That cover is gorgeous! You can tell I'm not just being polite by the way I'm now writhing in inadequacy. (philosophical) It's in Kinko's hands now.
It's possible that Snape's hair is almost perfectly normal (can anything about Snape actually be normal?), and we only read that his hair is greasy through Harry's bias.
Adobe PhotoDeluxe came with my hand-me-down computer. Is this inferior to Photoshop? Instincts tell me yes, but I just thought I'd make sure by asking you brilliant minds.
Posted by Christina @ 08/06/2003 07:32 AM PST
I forgot: No, I didn't do a bibliography, because he didn't tell us to. Stop making the rest of us look bad!
So... tired...
Posted by Christina @ 08/06/2003 07:52 AM PST
photoshop's my best friend. 8.0 is comming out this year...so i've heard. YAY ^_^. It's a nice cover btw. I haven't done any magazine covers lately...hmm...
Posted by augusto @ 08/06/2003 10:23 AM PST
::jumps up and down on augusto's head:: 8.0!? really!? KYAAA! How cool! Yay yay yay yay! :O I just have to wait for a "special" copy.
Christina, although I have the.. utmost, er, 'respect' for Photodeluxe, I can give you mine ^_^ 7.0 is beautiful. But absolutely useless if you don't know what to do with it.. I stared at 6.5 for months before feeling the light of understanding. Oh, and yes, everything that goes through a boy's mind gets slightly warped in my opinion. Did he really have to say after his first kiss that it was, "Wet"? I mean, neither was I expecting him to tell Ron and Hermione that "I was borne onto the waves of ecstacy", but "wet"?
Augusto, what the hell do you mean by "lately"? You make them for fun? btw, when school starts, I want to trade some anime. HAIBANE!
I finished my history project, btw, at 9:35 this morning, got into Stacy's car (she gave me a ride to school), and we had it in the box at 9:45. Fifteen minutes to spare, thank you very much.
Might I add that when I was printing out the supplementary photos for the magazine, the printer RAN OUT OF COLOR INK ON ME and Stacy was already coming over (she sounded vaguely worried - "Jan, are you okay?"). I panicked, smacked the printer, and it spit out what it could (it has a few funny lines on it but is otherwise okay) and then ran for it.
I need sleep. zzzzz
oh, yeah, thanks to all the people who said my cover looked nice :) that would be spencer, christina and augusto. and andrew, that's pretty much exactly what vache did, oddly enough. scary, huh?
this is like a short blog entry. How odd.
Posted by Janice @ 08/06/2003 11:30 AM PST
What am I doing on your blog at 3:30 in the AM? I don't know. The clock on my computer is extraordinarily slow. Right now it's apparently 7:35 PM July 16, 2003. I'll experience the new millenium again in a few months I'll bet.
Photoshop? Photoshop??? That costs about $600! I use Paint Shop Pro and it's more inadequate for my needs than I can describe right now. I want Photoshop... waaaah...
Posted by Spencer @ 08/06/2003 12:35 PM PST
Hey I said it looked nice, too!
Photoshop is free *wink wink*. Still haven't upgraded my 6.0 yet. It seems to work just fine. All the ones on kazaa are probably filled with viruses and trojans and whatnot anyway.
Posted by andrew @ 08/06/2003 01:39 PM PST
Does 7.0 (ooh, I'm picking up the lingo and everything) not come with an instruction manual? Somehow I feel that we will all need extensive visual powers ("I see flying mushrooms!") for this class, blast it.
Posted by Christina @ 08/06/2003 04:57 PM PST
no it doesn't come with one... hahaha. although... there are free online tutorials or books at barnes. pricey though. hmm. I don't use those though. I learn all of my techniques hands on ^_^. hehehe.
Posted by augusto @ 08/06/2003 05:58 PM PST
Okay, okay ;P thanks to andrew too for telling me it looked good except for the odd seals. I did take out the House of Burgesses seal in the final version, but not the "Collector's Edition" thing.
I've never actually _purchased_ Adobe Photoshop (heh heh heh) so I guess it doesn't come with one ^^ I've only met one person that has a legal copy, and that's Lorik. at any rate, Augusto is right, there are mucho pricey books online. I learned through a lot of experimentation (hee) and watching my sister.
Btw, when I turned in the project today at 9:45 I saw Kristyn and Summer there too :P we all laughed - all of us were pulling all-nighters. hee hee :) I saw like ten other people there too.
Yeah, Spencer, I used to use Paintshop Pro too :P but then I learned how to use Photoshop. I only use paintshop these days for compressing .jpg files as Adobe sucks at compressing files & still retaining good quality.. hee, gotta go eat dinner now :) we're going out. Bye now, will blog sometime later ~
Posted by Janice @ 08/06/2003 07:05 PM PST
adobe does an excellent job with compressing files that are .jpg. you ahve to save for the web instead of just saving as... ^_^. hehe. go find some good tutorials online. my friend vicki has some at her domain >> http://je-aime.net oh and Janice, i got lorik hosted, so her new URL would be http://parle.je-aime.net ((yeah. hosted by vicki ^_^))
