"Tragically.. as she was sipping coffee last night at Starbucks, Janice was machine gunned down..."

Yeah, yeah, I know you all wish :P that was Mr. Thomson describing how I was murdered during the game of Mafia that we were playing. AHAHAHA ^^ it was Molly that killed me that time, that bad bad girl. Anyway, I think Mr. Thomson will be a lot of fun to have as a history teacher.. somehow I think certain friends of mine will agree, if just because of the above statement from him there :P

Yesterday, all of Key Club executive board at BHS (of which I am a member of) was told to come to the fundraiser Awake-a-Thon ^^ it was fun, lol. We were basically supposed to stay awake from 7 pm to 7 am, and raise money for our KC. It's not hard to stay up, but we were getting REALLY tired because we were playing a lot of games that took a lot of energy.

Anyway :) we played a name game to start off with (I think I have everyone's name memorized now), and then we moved on to some other various contests. We were split up into groups (named after McDonalds - I was part of the Big n' Tasty group), and we competed all night long, except when we were all working together. Ha, one of the contests was an "Iron Chef" contest - I kid you not. We each randomly picked a recipe and tried to cook the best food (the chief taster being Mr. Thomson).

My group, very unfairly :P got SPAGHETTI, and might I add that there was no sauce? we had to make it out of tomato paste and canned tomatos. *ewwww* actually, it came out pretty good despite all things, but Mr. Thomson said we overdid it on some of the herbs.. oregano or something. It was very strong sauce :P but it was good! everyone else said it was good, and they would've told me if it sucked...

... As Katie's group's brownies did :P how do you mess up brownies? Mr. Thomson gave them a two out of five for taste. Said something about "too much flour".

None of us were willing to try it, so we'll just take his word for it.

Anyway, we had to cook all of this in an hour. -.- It was a very stressful hour, especially as Lucy (whose house we were at) has a stove that has its oven right underneath it, so the brownie people and the pizza people (Tanya) and the TACO people (Kristyn's group had to bake the hard shells) were ALL using the oven and there we were, trying to simmer sauce and boil spaghetti all at the same time.

I think the winning group got too easy :P they got mud pie. Unjust!! You just slap together a lot of confectionary. It was really good though :O and so was the pizza, although that was gone really fast.

The guys in my group (Eric & Jason) didn't help much during the cooking (Ashley C. and I did all the work). Eric wouldn't taste anything, and Jason stood there, soup ladle in hand, and he stirred the spaghetti... mm, yeah :P that's what he did. (We had very little equipment, hence the soup ladle.) Oh, well - Jason is a very good ham (he's the ASB senior class president? we saw his face on millions of backpacks?) and he presented the spaghetti to Mr. Thomson, complete with Jason presenting him a bottle of wine and some grapes XD he talked like some snooty waiter. It was very amusing ^^

Oh, and I chopped two cloves of garlic for the spaghetti, and my HANDS STINK. Not that I mind eating garlic, but I certainly mind having the stench of it stuck in my hands.. I've washed them with four different soaps twelve different times since then, and still, nothing works -.-

I was fine $1.25 for saying the word "sleep" five different times during the night -.- very bad!! I paid .75 cents right there, but I didn't want to break my twenty so I didn't do the rest. But I was very annoyed -.- oh, well, Jason got fined nearly five dollars for saying it over, and over, and over, and over again :P so I got off lucky. (Oh, and Jason nearly fell asleep.. $1 fine right there.)

I'm TIRED. BLAH. Been up for awhile now, and awake-a-thon is really exhausting (especially the cooking thing). I was really awake doing those scenes, but afterwards everyone just wanted to sleep. During pictionary later, everyone was lying down. A very WARPED version of pictionary.. I was supposed to describe whatever topic I had to my partner, who would draw what I described not knowing what it actually was herself. Um, the first time I got it I did a dog, which was easy enough for everyone to figure out (you wanted people to figure out what it was or you wouldn't get any points), but the second time, we got a TOILET. How the hell was I supposed to describe a toilet? I started off with "uh, a rectangle here", and blah blah blah. We ended up throwing the first one away and then starting over before someone finally figured it out. :x I didn't guess any right except the last picture (someone else's), when Katie told her partner to "draw a right triangle". :P

Sailboat! It's obvious.. more obvious than when Andrew (not the one we all are so very .. uh, "fond" of) told Shelly to draw "two circles" and Yung yelled, "GLASSES!" -.-

God, I'm too exhausted to really blog much right now :x I just wanted to get this all done so I wouldn't forget it later. Anyway, Andrew and Augusto have really weird conversations on my blog :P

What on earth does Augusto mean by "the blogging freak broke out"? :P Was I imprisoning some mad blogging fanatic inside my head? Or did I go outside?

I like to think that's it's neither.. I've just been schmoozing lately. ^_^

My sisters came back from Europe, yay, and they had a great time ^^ they brought me back some REALLY neat souveniors ::cackles:: One is this little wooden puppet they bought from a street vendor in Vienna [Austria].. I think it's a cross between a Chinese dragon, a dog, and horse. It's so funny!! I'm not very good with it, but I can make it laugh hysterically (I provide the voice), pick up paper, walk around, and nuzzle up to people. :P I made it stalk Stacy across the carpet (you should've seen her scooch away).. haha ^^ next time I have a party, I'm bringing it out to show people. I'd take it to school, but I'm afraid it'd get broken.

The other one they got me is this absolutely exquisite little mask from Venice ^^ It's a mardi gras porcelain mask that's beautifully handpainted.. so lovely :O I was kinda afraid to touch it. But it's beautiful :) They bought themselves some really lovely things. They bought our parents two Venesian (Venecian? from Venice, bah) wine (or is it champagne?) glasses. They're decorated in gold leaf and a very lovely, vibrant scarlet color. O.O Our mother almost broke them within five minutes of opening them, giving all three of us a heart attack. They got our dad a german beer cup :P it's really funny. (He collects cups and mugs.) Joan is a big fan of miniatures, so she got a miniature elephant and hippo made of glass (from Venice again - Venice is famous for gondolas and glass). They're SO CUTE - they're each small enough to both sit on the same key on a keyboard. They could both quite literally fit on the letter Y. I'm afraid the elephant will break - its trunk is incredibly thin.

She also bought a miniature violin, a miniature glass dolphin (again from Venice), and some other stuff. Sohyun splurged and bought herself a pearl-and-diamond necklace that's really gorgeous :O and a stuff Saint Bernard with a beer tank around its neck :P it's soo cute. I had a lot of fun looking at their souveniors.

I picked up a non-fiction book to do a report on.. it's about geisha. ^_^ Should be interesting.

Went to a key club project on monday.. we made the packets that people will have to pick up in order to register at BHS. Bleh :x we basically walked around in some odd U formation like the one below.

the tables :P

I made this on paintshop really fast, so laugh if you want :P it deserves it. The blocks are actually tables with registration papers on them. You can see how we walked around according to the arrows.. starting at the star point*. We ended again at the starpoint by dumping them on a table for the stuffers to stuff into folders. :x Took about a minute to go around once (unless you're me ::fans herself:: I do it much faster), etc etc. I did this for about an hour and a half, then for another hour I stuffed the packets into folders, which is a lot easier because I sat down.

*Someone* I know cheated on me and didn't always give the packets that this someone created to me. :P Adulterer!
*edit*
Also at the project were all these little Korean ninth graders (now tenth) that I went to Korean school with, horrors of horrors. Earl, Kristyn, and Jessica were there too, and some other key club people ^^ maybe fifteen to begin with, but a lot of people left by hour two.

My dad was breaking up concrete in one corner of the yard the other day, and we were clearing it out to a dump truck sort of thing for maybe five hours :x the hunks of stone were really heavy (you could carry only two of the small ones at one time, and one of the large ones), it was really hot (afternoon) and very dusty (that part of the yard doesn't have any grass). Two spiders tried to kill me, but I smashed them with rocks... ^_^; it didn't help that my silly dog got out and decided to have an adventure in the alley. I thought she was gonna get hit by a car -.-; she ran all the way down the block before deciding to go back up, and I was running after her.. and it was maybe four o'clock in the afternoon and so incredibly hot ;_;

I sincerely hope no one heard me screaming at my dog that I didn't want to be arrested for butchering her. I know some people did (oops!), and the driver in the red sports car that nearly killed me did, but oh well.

I killed another spider yesterday. IT CRAWELED UP MY LEG. It gave me a heart attack while I was doing the dishes to see a spider just dancing up my left leg... I screamed, grabbed a paper towel, and snatched up the spider, and my dad told me I was being too noisy.

I am so unloved.

I've been playing Smash Bros. Melee still :x I think there are a total of 300 trophies in this game, but I only have maybe 247? I've gotten all the character trophies, but I'm still missing a lot.. where on earth do I get them now? ?_? Speaking of which, I want a new GameCube game ^^ I'm approaching a time where I might actually be bored, which I don't think I've been for years now. Pikmin!! ::cackles:: Yes, slaves, I must have slaves.... [for those who don't know, the premise of Pikmin is that you are a spaceman that crashlands on a foreign planet who has 30 days to rebuild the spaceship and get out before your oxygen runs out. ^^ To help you, you plant these Pikmin, and when you pull them out of the soil, you can command them to your bidding. Literally. You can make them carry you on their shoulders. It's really, really funny :P]

Pirates of the Caribbean apparently had the lowest percentage drop from weekend one to weekend two of all movies this year ^^ my sister said that's doing "insanely well", which I guess she would know since she's been tracking box office trends since she's been watching movies. I'm glad :) I liked Pirates a lot. I just hope this doesn't inspire Disney to also make movies out of Splash Mountain, Space Mountain, Matterhorn, etc.. Haunted Mansion looks relatively plastic and cheesy, so maybe they're already running out of steam. Pirates worked well, IMO, because it was a rather original, fun action-adventure movie with some really popular stars (ORLANDO BLOOM! KYAA!!) that wasn't a sequel, which is also IMO one of the reasons why Finding Nemo has only dropped to number 6 after being out for nearly two months ^.~ I hope it wins best animated feature at the Academy Awards this year :) It would be nice. (It would also be the third year that the award has been given to a non-Disney movie, making it ironic that the company that really started movie-animation has yet to win it. Oh, well, "Brother Bear" doesn't look like it's going to win it.)

I've been downloading more manga, as it makes the world go round. A few weeks ago I only had 16 gigs of manga, but now I have 17.3. When did this happen? ?_?

Shinjo Mayu impresses me with her stupidity again. I read a new series of hers where a girl lives with her two older brothers, as their parents and other family members are dead. But shock! Ever since she found out that one of her older brothers was actually adopted (and thus not blood related), she can't control her feelings! *drumroll* Yes, she's burning in love for him. Poor girl, boo hoo hoo. :is drowning in sarcasm:

I also downloaded chapter two of "Chain of Pearls", which is by the same author of Ren-Ai Shijo Shugi. The art is nice, but occasionally the author can really get into writing somewhat odd sexual situations. ?_? In chapter 15 of Ren-Ai, the couple had sex together - which is not unusual, but they had sex in a KARAOKE ROOM. Um, I wonder if the author knows that the typical karaoke house has video camcorders in every single room? Well, Chain is starting off not quite so sexually (then again, neither did Ren-Ai), and it's cute so far ^^ the guy is funny in his sarcasm.. and he's good looking. Then again, he looks EXACTLY THE SAME as the main guy in Ren-Ai. -.-; Some manga artists just can't draw different looking main characters.. you can switch the hair and eye color, and they'd all look the same.

But, I've done karaoke too ^^ it's fun! I wish there was one (a karaoke house) in Burbank so I could go there with my friends and watch everyone make a fool of themself. Alas, it's a very Asian thing so they're really only in downtown LA (Koreatown) and other super-Asian concentrated areas.

Watase Yuu's new series, Zettai Kareshi, is SO STUPID. A girl, desperate for a boyfriend, buys an artificial one online (I kid you not). Um, it sounds like she was buying a sex toy in some online porn shop. Anyway, it comes to her house that night, and it's a fully-grown, young (naked) male android. Blah blah blah. She has to activate it by kissing the guy on the lips, which of course she does, whereupon he wakes up and says, "Hello, girlfriend!"

Me: ..................

First, this sounds like a rip off of Chobits (rather than the "female version" that Shoujomagic said it was), and it's also reallly stereotypical (the guy comes to her rescue, blah blah). And the girl is also pretty annoying. I really can't stand Watase's stuff :x Although I do really like Alice 19th right now.. the guy is great ^^ and the girl isn't so very .. typical.

AOL has this thing on right now that says "Five ways to fake a tan". Why the hell would I want to fake a tan? :P I go outside for five minutes and I get one. Blah.

I'm gonna go read a new manga now ^^ so bye now!

:> Well, I've finished my six hours of driving with a licensed instructor.. isn't that fascinating?

Milestone of the day: Victor commented on my blog. I'm guessing it's Earl who gave the addy to him, unless Victor typed "Janice blog" into google and got this or something. I always wonder what my friends who aren't into anime & manga think when they see my blog.. I mean, look at it :P

Out of sheer boredom, I really did type in "Janice blog" into google just right now, and like, three Janice's with my last name came up and not a single one is me. What is the point in my existence? If I ever should have children (the poor condemned things), I'm giving them really obscure names that I make up myself and marrying a guy with a 35-letter last name that no one else shares so that they'll never type it into a search engine and find anyone but themselves.

...

Okay, maybe not, but it's kinda fun to say so. I am definitely not going to marry another Korean (what, and become Kim? Chang? Choi? I think not), and will never name my kids anything like Daniel (in my life time, I've known over twenty and am first cousins with two - on the SAME SIDE OF THE FAMILY) or Paul (three) or Mary (four) or Jennifer (five). Really :x Oh, and the real reason so many Korean boys are named "Daniel" or "Paul" or "Peter"? It's the Bible, I tell you, the Bible.

Actually, the first half of the above paragraph is a moot point because I plan on keeping my name (for professional purposes). What's the point? :P My husband can change *his* name if it's so bad for a married couple to have different surnames. My cousin just got married (um, maybe not "just", they're going to have a baby any day now) - she was a Kim, now she's a Kang. -_-; Does anyone see my point?

I just re-watched the Pokemon movie (the first one). Don't ask, I was really, really bored, and I do own it after all ^^ I wanted to see how the pokemon looked compared to Smash Bros., especially because Mew popped out of a pokeball the other day. (How cuuuute! <3) Most of it's very similar.

Anyway, it's been really hot here these last few days :x well, at least it's a comfort to know that my sisters were melting in Venice sometime last week.. they went to ROME. The colliseum (I know I'm spelling that wrong). *jumps up and down* I would kill to go on a two week vacation to Europe... I think I'll go when I'm in Uni. :> I'd like to go to Ireland, England, Italy, France (to take a look at that disgustingly opulent palace), Germany, Switzerland, Austria (it'd be kinda neat to see the conference center in Vienna used after Napoleon's defeat), Spain... all the big European countries. :O

:>

^ Does that face resemble a bird to you? I think not.

Today's spindly count: 3
1) murdered by me slapping a piece of paper against it
2) murdered by me standing on top of the second floor banister and squishing it with kleenex
3) murdered by me luring it on a piece of paper and then folding it

For the uninitiated, spindly = spider, as Andrew calls it.

I slept a solid fourteen hours last night :) It was really very nice, although one should've seen the look my mother gave me when I came down to eat breakfast at five o'clock in the afternoon. (I WAS TIRED, I didn't get much sleep the night before doing my stupid english project.) ^_^ I wasn't allowed to eat as we were going to have dinner soon.. blah. My mother made me chop stuff up - ended up cutting a lot of green onion - but I flat out ran away when she pulled out the raw squid - whole, I tell you, whole - and held the knife up at me. BLECK. (This is funny because I didn't really have that much trouble dissecting stuff in Haynes.. I think the frog and cat were the worse. Frog because of the bits of squishy yellow fat, and the cat because of the matted fur.. eww.. ^^ Does anyone remember Katie gagging repeatedly until people thought she'd throw up? ^.^ Good thing MY table didn't have that problem, eh-hem. [for those who weren't in my lab table, there were several moments with my head out the window trying to breathe])

I kinda miss doing Chemistry labs, just because it was kinda fun boiling stuff, blowing stuff up (um, the time we took the glass cover off of one of the beakers, there was this huge popping noise and the glass flew by me and Stacy's face and we thought we were gonna die :P), splashing water everywhere as I cleaned the glassware, Earl coming over to harass us (and criticize my dishwashing abilities -.-), and occasionally hearing explosions from the side of the room Nick was on. (I can't believe Thompson didn't notice him melting chewed gum and coins. Really.) And every single bit of glassware I ever washed was PERFECTLY CLEAN by the time I was done, even in a sink that measure two by four inches. (And I apologized to Matt for soaking his backpack. I did!)

Oh, and the breaking of glassware. I broke a graduated cylinder (just turned out and went *bam*), Taleen broke a beaker, someone else broke another graduated cylinder.. I think Tanya never broke anything, but she was the only one at our lab table to survive :P I think Stacy broke a beaker once.

Nick broke a beaker and no one ever knew how (even him, and I think he usually kept track of that sort of thing). It was probably just that it was an old beaker and he was heating a hot-water bath.. The bottom just came out like it was cut or something, and water went all over the bunsen burner :P that was.. weird.

I need to start working on my AP US history project.. I think Andrew called my english project the homework from hell, but that was only because I didn't know about it soon enough. This one is truly the Homework From Hell. It has two or three essays, a magazine article, a magazine COVER, and two sets of questions to fill out based on a couple of articles - all due by exactly 10:00 a.m. on the 6th. Eww :x Blah. The magazine cover will be fun since I'm actually allowed to use the computer and I don't have to draw.. my photoshop skills are only about average, but I can make something look rather presentable with average :>

I'm downloading chapter one of Skip Beat! right now from channel #grandline on irc.mircx.com.. ::grins:: I've never read this manga before, but I have read the translations, and it's realllly funny ^.^ a rather domestic and simple girl named Kyoko runs away from home with the guy she likes in order to support him in his career in being an idol (a super-star actor). Some time later, the hardworking, earnest and basically being stepped-on Kyoko finds out that he's just using her as a convenient maid, cook, and slave all rolled up in one.. :P instead of falling apart into tears, she turns into Demon-Kyoko, dyes her hair a very shocking shade of orange-blonde, and decides to become a better idol than him and crush his career forever ^^

Kyoko's a great character, her ex-boyfriend is an absolute bastard, and her new love interest (I think that's what he is.. kinda hard to tell especially since he's older than her by a lot) is really hot. Daisuki yo, Ren-sama! <3_<3 (those are supposed to be hearts for eyes if you can't tell ^^;) Anyway, it's by the same artist as Tokyo Crazy Paradise, so I'm in love ^^ Ren is even better looking than Ryuji, probably because he's (Ryuji is a blonde), older (Ryuji was 14, Ren is in his twenties), and just .. mm :) Looks like the author of the manga can't get away from the main male characters being mostly serious, sorta-evil dark guys (Ryuji was the leader of the Japanese equivalent of the mafia) that only occasionally goof off.. ^^ Oh well.

Btw, I was playing Smash earlier: I HATE playing as the Mario Bros. characters, but at least they have half-way decent Smash attacks (Marth and Zelda have very good ones IMO). There's someone I hate more but I forget who :x and no, it's not Pichu, Earl, because Pichu's cuteness makes up for his lack of battling skills. (And besides, if you do down-B and it doesn't hit him, he doesn't get hurt!)

The last thing I just ate: Tyson's popcorn chicken dipped in a combination of tapatio & tabasco sauce. Actually, this is really good ^_^ although don't drink any water because you won't be able to take any more. Oh well. :)

Andrew, I asked you this before but you DID NOT ANSWER: do you use greymatter?

Music |

Oh my god.

I have four hundred more pages of a biography on Eleanor Roosevelt to read.

;_;

I don't want to dooooo this!!!!! -_-;

I have to do four dialectical journal entries & a two page essay tomorrow on this book, hence why I'm reading this now. >.>;

It's good, but it's not .. that.. interesting..

...

::gazes up at ceiling:: Oh, a spider.

I have another driving lesson tomorrow.. I get to go on the freeway. Joy.

::kills spider::

Eew.

::tired::

I DON'T WANT TO READ THIS.

Maybe I'll just read a chapter here and there.

BLAH.

I hope Taleen and Tanya have fun on vacation. I forgot to call Taleen about the Key Club bulletin. Oops.

I read a new manga today that I haven't read before.. the title was in Japanese and I didn't understand all of it. It was called "Tsumi Ni Nureta Futari" (futari means of "two" people) and the description on the site was rather vague, so I decided to download it.

It started out fairly normally, if rather cliched. Girl goes on a trip to Italy that she SHOULD have gone on with her boyfriend, but the bastard dumped her, so she decided to go alone. She accidentally irritates a guy, he's attracted anyway, she's attracted, and he saves her from some street thieves.

They're standing arguing next to a fountain (you know the really large ones that you can sit around while the water sprays up in the middle), and I guess it's a combination of repayal and lust that drives them to, er, have sex in the fountain.

Well, it looked uncomfortable, but they seemed happy. Blah, blah, this is nothing unusual (actually this is pretty tame compared to some stuff that's been released these days >.>; hang around in #shoujomagic and #nekohana). She goes back to Japan, thinking she'll never see him again. Anyway, her mother tells her that her father, who she hasn't seen in years, has just died. Her mom shows her a picture of her and her younger sister, who she also hasn't seen in years and who lived with their father, is going to come live with them.

Blah. She goes to the funeral.. and who should she see but Mr. "Take-me-in-a-fountain" boy! He's shocked, she's shocked, and they stare at each other for a bit.

And here's the punchline: her mother comes and says, "Oh, good, you've met! He was so cute when he was a little boy that we dressed him as a girl. He's your younger brother!"

And they stare at each other.

And I stare at the screen.

The title means, as I found out later, "The two who are drenched in sin".

The scanlators added a little message at the end that says "Moral of the chapter: Don't do it with complete strangers!"

How.. thoughtful of them. Right, at least in Angel Sanctuary the incest played a genuine dramatic role; I'm not in the mood for incestual smut. Bleck.

On another note, I did download some decent manga today (Full Moon wo Sagashite & Ichigo no Houseki, which are done by mangaka I like - Tanemura Arina and Mizusawa Megumi respectively), so it's not a complete loss. I also downloaded Doll (ch. 2), which is by the artist of Mars [Soryo Fuyumi] along with Mars Gaiden (prequel to Mars), both of which were fine. Mars Gaiden was amusing ^^;

I desperately want a new chapter of: Kare First Love, anything Mizuto Aqua, Full Moon wo Sagashite, Basara, Ingénuo, Eden no Hana, DN Angel, Tokyo Crazy Paradise and a lot of other stuff.

Man, I spent ALL DAY in IRC getting manga.. so tired. I'm still in there, serving Hime-chan no Ribon to the poor people who actually are desperate enough to queue from me :P I've only successfully completed one file, oops. I feel like I don't deserve the +v status I get. *edit* Just read Full Moon chapter 11.. uh, Takuto-kun, doshita no?

[Anyway, rest of the entry is about Smash Bros - sorry you have to endure this, but I really like my video games ^^;]

I'm very proud of myself. I got all the secret characters in Smash Bros. (so I have everyone now, yay - even the incredibly odd Mr. Game & Watch) now - I got Mewtwo a few days ago and Mr. Game & Watch about fifteen minutes later. (I beat Mewtwo in 13.5 seconds :P Marth just went *whoosh whoosh* and Mewtwo went *whoosh whoosh*. Mewtwo threw off Mr. Gay & Watch in 17 ^^) I also now have all the secret worlds except the weird Pokemon one (um, I heard that you need 200 versus matches for this and I only have about 160), but what I am proudest of is that I beat EVERY SINGLE EVENT MATCH. ALL 51. ::bows::

Thank you very much. It took me three hours to finally beat Event Match 50 (I told Earl once when he mocked me [if he doesn't remember, he said I could never beat this] that I'm very patient with video games), and I finally did it with Pikachu! I usually use Marth these days for versus and stuff, but I didn't think he was very suitable for this (o.@ do you think counter would work on the master hand?), and while Mewtwo was handy enough, I couldn't do enough damage before getting smacked off (it was always the hand-smack and drill that did me in). :P Who did I beat it with? Pikachu! Down-B sometimes took off more than 30%, which was always very cool.

Event match 51 only took me fifteen minutes because Jigglypuff is really, really useful and Giga Bowser really, really easy to hit. ^_^ Down B! Power to the pokemon ^.~ Although I haven't quite figured out Mewtwo's down-b yet (uh, it never works).

Event matches I hated the most: KO only Sheiks, the two master hands, the Ness one versus Samus-Kirby-Fox-Falcon-Falco, Majora's Mask trophy, Young Link Versus Link, You Versus Insane Pichus and Pikachus from hell, Mr Game & Watch versus 1000xMr Game & Watch, and the one where Peach walks around stupidly with a heart above her head while Bowser tries to EAT HER because Mario sucks.

I wish I had had Marth for some of those earlier battles.

Fun event matches: kill the tiny kirbys (their screams are so funny :P), kill the Kirbys with warp stars, kill the Jigglypuff more than the ships can, and some others.

I beat Captain Falcon on the <7 seconds on in .67 seconds :P thank you Jigglypuff.

I still have to beat Adventure in under - what, 18, 20 minutes? - on Hard so I can get the Giga Bowser trophy.. I'll do that tomorrow. I already beat Classic in under 20 on Hard (Marth, my luv <3), but Adventure is harder (I get killed about halfway through). Pfft. And I need to get all the All-Star trophies (I HATE the Mr. Game & Watch stage) as I only have about eight trophies from there right now.

:> I wanna buy Pikmin. But I heard there's a sequel coming out? So I might just wait.

Blah. I've successfully distracted myself from that biography for a full hour and a half. :P I'm really pissed about doing this assignment because I JUST FOUND OUT ABOUT IT, but nothing much I can do about it unless Grogan changes the due date. -.-; At least I'm not like a certain Dork Armenian Guy in my acquaintence who is going to pretend he didn't know about it.

Anyway, I'm gonna crash soon. It's early yet, but Stacy woke me up at some ungodly hour this morning (something like 10:30) and I'm exhausted.. and I need to be alert tomorrow so that I can peacefully kill myself on the freeway. So bye now :P

!! Sisters, read entry below the one below this. :D !!

Damn it, second time in a week that explorer crashed on me while I was writing an entry. -_- I had a really long one too.

At any rate. My mom had a party today, which involved me: cleaning, cooking, cleaning, cleaning, washing a lot of dishes, pots, and pans, and babysitting three kids, none of whom exceeds the age of 10. (One ten year old, one nine year old, one seven year old.)

What would you do? I sat them down in front of my Gamecube and said, "Would you like to play?"

http://ferryhalim.com/orisinal/ I set the girls in front of this (while I played Smash with James - um, he nearly massacred my control stick trying to kill the computer ;_; my poor controller). Anyone ever been here? I'm positive it's the location of the cutest games on earth. (The game designs - think "Morning Glory" characterish, very.. Asian?) The egg game requires the most mental concentration, in my opinion (it needs a really good sense of timing just to get to the top of the tree), but the pig game and the "it takes two" game are SO CUTE :> the puppy and the kitten and the little piglets ::cackles::

The rainmaker game reminds me of Haibane Renmei. I don't know why. And "snowbowling" is sadistic.

http://www.manga-sketchbook.org/ scanlates Tokyo Crazy Paradise, for which I am writing a new fanfic! Yippee ^^ I love TCP, it's one of my favorite manga. I LOVE the art (the color art doesn't always look so hot - but the black and white is great :>), and the storyline kicks butt. It's an Alternate Universe fanfic, so I doubt I'll get around to posting it (I generally hate AU's), but it's so much fun to write!

And I'm so glad that I don't have to babysit anymore. ;_; So tiring. I have to be a role model you see (for god's sake, all three of them were calling me "Ohn-nee" (Korean for 'older sister')) and I really didn't like it, but it's not like I had a choice. So I was very diligent and watched them very carefully and helped them in everything they needed.

Blah, blah. Well, at least they're nice kids ^^ although if James had pressed "Z" as Samus one more time and I had to hear that stupid SKEESH sound of that ray thingy, I think I might've strangled him.

Blah blah blah. I have no money.

Oh, and chris - what the hell -_-

"^_^" is MY TRADEMARK FACE! ;_; I always use it in IM conversations! and everywhere! How could you ......

Subject | "Driving!"

Music |

Mood |

!!! I want my sisters to read the entry below this one, next time they're at a cafe.!!!

[begin regular entry]

::cackles::

I had my first driving lesson today! ::cackles::

Oh, god, it was so much fun :P I was so nervous! We started driving across from John Muir, and so I drove around Scott (Jefferson area) for like, an hour :P we made lots of circles. Left turn, straight, right turn, straight...

The entire lesson was punctuated with "BRAKE!" and "More gas, more gas, more gas... NO GAS!" from my poor driving instructor. By the second hour I was getting a lot more confident, which I'm sure scared him even more.

I got some Korean dude, btw.. he was nice, but I wouldn't reccommend him unless you're okay with somewhat broken English. ::grew up with broken English:: I have no problem there. He was perfectly nice though ^^ $50/2hrs. There are cheaper people, but my parents were okay with paying that price.

Anyway! I had such fun :> I passed by Stacy's house, and I'm going to hope that none of her family saw me because I made a very big boo-boo right outside there. (Um, their car is okay, right? :P JK.)

I'm very good with the brake pedal, which is not really hard... I can do very good rolling brakes now :) I just have crappy control over the gas pedal (it goes VOOM if I just lean on it a bit). Anyway, my next lesson is Monday morning.. and then another one on Friday and I'm done.

Btw, I hate five way intersections. He told me to make a left turn, and I had NO IDEA where he wanted me to turn, and there were cars on ALL sides and lights blinking everywhere and I was so frightened >.< so I was going at about 15mph in that area.. oops.

When I first started driving, we were just going straight along Kenneth for at least 10 blocks, and I was going at around 20mph, and there was this huge SUV stuck behind us for the entirety of the trip. ::laughs:: I felt kinda bad, but I had JUST started driving so I wasn't making any turns or anything. I think they were getting irritated.

On another note: My house happens to get a lot of visitors in the summer. Of the arachnid type, that is, plus junebugs and the narrow flat ones with the silver powder on their backs. At any rate, most of them show up in the computer room, and because I hate bugs, I've gotten to be really good at killing them. (I hate killing Junebugs, though, because they're so hard to squish and it's just really nasty.)

Yesterday, I got into the shower - my shower is one of those stand-up only things btw - and I turned on the water, and for some really bizarre reason, I happened to look up at the ceiling.

I kill a lot of bugs, so I know a large one when I see one. AND THAT WAS ONE ENORMOUS, DISGUSTING BLACK SPIDER SITTING ON THE CEILING.

I think I took it very well. I slowly opened the shower door, stepped out, and blinked at it for a moment. I hate it when spiders are on the ceiling ... yeah, I wasn't going to wait for it to drop down on my head. I picked up my shower head (it's one of those hand-held thingies), turned the water all the way to hot, and then sprayed the little bastard.

I hope he boiled. I doubt it, though - spiders survive at very high temperatures. He then washed down the drain, and then to make myself feel better - because I think spiders can survive in water for short amounts of time, and I didn't want this thing coming up the drain - I took a very old bottle of shampoo from under the sink and poured some of the contents down after the spider.

And some shaving cream.

And then I aimed the shower head at the drain and just let it pour scalding hot water down for five minutes.

I was slightly paranoid.

I really hope all the soap bubbles prevented that thing from ever rising again. How absolutely disgusting. I HATE SPIDERS. Unfortunately, I am the only one at home of my sisters, and my dad refuses to kill them for me ("They're your friends"), so I have to kill them.

BLECH.

My N64 is very dusty now, poor thing. It's sitting right next to my Gamecube, which is hard to tell when it's dusty because it's platinum (except when the black is dusty). ^_^ Hey, does anyone here own Pikmin? ?_?

Btw, Andrew, blogging is a very good thing :> besides, it gives us all something to do off our fat, lazy asses this summer.

Augusto, sorry, I thought when you said "no" you were referring to my line about "Don't the buttons bring color to my layout?" about the fanlisting buttons. What *were* you talking about? ?_?

And I like blogging! I'm actually really happy at home, believe it or not, because during the school year I was NEVER HOME because I always had to go somewhere. *shrugs* Now I get to relax, read books, write stories, and kick Roy's butt in Smash Bros.

Someone should smack Chris around. ::just felt like saying that::

Anyone here watched "The Ring"? I never did, so I'm not much interested, but apparently this group here --> Nensha --> seems to scanlate the manga version of The Ring. This doesn't particularly interest me :P but for anyone who liked the Ring... ::shrugs::

Andrew, how can you eat those taquitos? They're dangerous to the health of one's stomach.

The rest of the entry is about Smash Bros (I like playing it, and so I like talking about it), so you can skip if you're Tanya or someone like that who doesn't play :P (I need to make Tanya play this!)

[BTW. Roy is ten times cheesier than Marth. My god, I was just playing right now on Versus mode, and I can understand what he and Marth say when they win :P As far as I can tell, Roy said something like, "For the sake of protecting [you], I will not lose!"

HAHAHAHAHA. ::laughing my head off:: Who the heck is he going to protect in a game where everyone's blood is up for take?

For the record, when Marth poses, he does say "Everyone, watch me!" [in a way that implies that he's doing this for 'everyone' so they're both dramatic]

But jeez, Earl. Roy's hair looks just like Brian K. from our math class! EXACTLY! It's terrible!

Marth has blue hair, on the other hand. Like I said, Marth rocks.

When one wins in adventure mode, btw, after beating Bowser, Marth says "This is my victory" (or something to that extent) while Roy said, "Kurushi tatakai datta" which basically means "This was a difficult battle" with a "but I won anyway" implied. :P

I like how they talk in Japanese. It cracks me up when I understand what they said.

Anyway... Marth is cooler. By a lot!

Hm. I just got the old-school N64 Yoshi's world right now, which seems to have been really, really blown up o.O I don't recall having this much room to run around in the old Smash. (Got it by using Yoshi in the homerun contest.) I also got the Bunny-hood trophy, which I admit I cheated - I looked up something to see which special situations I needed to do to get this. -.- It took me a bit, because you have to complete 120+ combos with a character in training mode, and Kirby kept moving AWAY from Bowser as I approached 100. Little punk.]

*edit* There's nothing to do. It's summertime. I'm serious. So I blog. And I just played Super Smash Bros. right now, and I was playing normal mode, and I was playing as Marth.. ;_; ::cries:: OH MY GOD I WAS SO SCARED. I was fighting the Master Hand, and then all of a sudden this crazy-ass other hand comes out of NOWHERE and starts to beat me up too. I just barely killed both of them.

AND I DIDN'T GET ANYTHING NEW. ::is annoyed:: I'm stuck. I don't know what to do. I know I don't have all the secret characters, and I've beaten all the special modes, but they're not giving me new stuff. ::sulks::

*end edit*

Augusto sucks. What happens??

I want to turn on the air conditioner ;_; it's soo incredibly HOT. I walked all the way down to school to pick up that goddamn summer assignment and there's this snippy little sign on the office doors that says "CLOSED ON FRIDAYS". ::curses:: I was gonna kill them. Then I walked back home, and on the way I stopped at 7-11... and they said they were celebrating their "birthday" (today is 7/11) and they were giving away free taquitos.

VERY STUPID OF ME. I TOOK ONE.

That thing was full of what I think was supposed to be cheese, something else I think was supposed to be either a tomato or a red pepper, and some mushed up brown gunk posing as meat.

AND I ACTUALLY ATE THE DAMN THING.

It was absolutely disgusting, but for something absolutely disgusting it wasn't that bad.

But oh my god ;_; it started doing cartwheels in my stomach when I was still three blocks from home. I almost collapsed when I got as far as Victor's house, but I somehow don't think he would've appreciated me dying on his sidewalk. (He has an elevated lawn as it is -.-)

Wwll, now that I'm home and sitting down, my stomach doesn't hurt at all. Go figure. But it's REALLY HOT, so I'm gonna beg my dad to turn on the air conditioner. Blargh.

And Augusto, I *like* my fanlistings :P so theeeere!

I discovered fanlistings The Fanlistings Network. How frightening. My sister owns the first button on your left - that's for Princess Tutu - but everything else there is my own obsession. Do you like how they just stack up? :P I hope to add to them.

A Fanlisting, btw, is just that - a listing of fans of whatever particular thing you're a fan of. Button number 2 there in neon blue is this layout :> That couple doesn't meet particularly often. Anyway, if you're my sisters, READ THE ENTRY BELOW.

The ones I put on today:
Princess Tutu, which is so far the best anime I've watched this year (of the new stuff).
Angel Sanctuary's Alexiel & Lucifer, because I like them a lot. (What, the layout didn't tip you off?) They're a very lovely, dark, and somehow twisted couple, but in the end they're very beautiful together.
Slayers' Lina & Gourry, which are anything but beautiful together, but so very fitting ^.^ I think they're both insane. (But they're happy that way.)
Inuyasha's Kikyou, because she's the tragic and lovely miko that is so much more than what she appears.
Escaflowne - one of the first anime I ever watched subtitled - I couldn't go dub after this. It's beautiful ;_; I cried so much after episode 26..
Angel Sanctuary's Alexiel, because Alexiel is a wonderful character with a really dark and somehow human personality - from what we see of her, at least.
Slayers' Lina Inverse! I strive to be like Lina ^^ who else burns up those who annoy her with fireballs?

Wow, I need to curb this fanlisting thing. O.O But the buttons add such color, don't you think? ::will join more tomorrow:: I got the ones I was thinking of, first. :O I just realized I forgot Kira-sempai.. oops. (I'm on an Angel Sanctuary kick right now.. I'll add other favorite characters later.) The Kaitou Saint Tail fanlisting appears to be dead right now, much to my annoyance. And there's no Hime-chan no Ribon one at all! :O How terrible.

And, hey: HAHAHA, I just went to Lorik's blog and I noticed that she and I both are in the same Escaflowne fanlisting - and we chose the same button! They had a choice of at least fifty as it was :P ::waves at Lorik::

For ALL PEOPLE taking HONORS ENGLISH 11 or AP ENGLISH FOR JUNIORS NEXT YEAR:

We have a summer assignment.

We have a stupid &$#%*!! summer assignment.

Tanya called me yesterday -.- it's due on the 17th and we have to pick it up at school. I don't know where we pick it up, and it's on a biography or autobiography or something like that, I'm not too sure.

Life sucks.

Augusto, I can't believe you won't tell me!! I don't care if you're not the spoiler type of person, I AM!! ;_;

I finished reading Anne Freaks, which I linked in yesterday's entry. That series is on crack. It starts off with this teenage guy (17 years old) burying his mother's dead body (I don't mean in a cemetary, I mean in the dead of the night when no one is watching), and another teenage girl comes up to him and tells him that the police will find such an easily hidden body. She then knocks him out.

Yuri (that's his name) drops out of school so that he can bascially run off with her (Anne) and do whatever she says. She likes killing people ^__^; it makes her very, very happy. This disturbs him slightly, but he's head over heels in love with her (she's very pretty), so the guy just kinda follows. (She's just sixteen, btw.)

Typical male. ::tsks::

Anne is very charismatic when she's killing someone. The author draws Anne very cutely at those times. ^_^; She has this great big SMILE on her face as she shoots, slices, chops, kicks, stabs, burns... etc. You have to give her a plus for creativity. (She tortured someone to death once with a pair of scissors and some water. Lovely child.)

--

I still need to see - T:3, The Hulk, Legally Blonde 2, Sinbad, Italian Job.. hmm.

Because I see Sarah plugging her blog wherever I go, I'll help plug: Sarah

I don't link new people until I make a new layout though, so until then ^^;

Oh, and Sarah, you still have that artbook from the history project (on Baroque junk). I already have a large fine at the library, and I can't afford to just "pay off the book" because since you have it, I'll have to pay for a new copy, and I can't pay off 20-30 bucks for a book you have somewhere. Take it to the library (any one of the Burbank ones is okay) and pay off the fine, okay?

Well, hey, I saw Pirates of the Caribbean today. Not exactly brilliant, but it was a very fun movie ^^ Keira Knightly's character was rather inane, but Johnny Depp's was funny ^^ and it was nice seeing scenes from the ride (the dog, the fort under attack, the treasure).

Tanya, btw, deserves a butt kicking because during this one particular scene when all the pirates were walking on the floor of the ocean, she whispered, "T-3! Rise of the skeletons!" and I cracked up laughing, which was bad because it was a serious scene. -.- Baaaaaad.

Orlando Bloom is HOT. He seems to be in a lot of rather dignified roles ("I have a cause to fight! AHHHHHHHHH!")

We went to the bookstore later (me and Tanya and Taleen; Stacy had to go to swim practice) and I bought a book called Carolina Moon for three dollars. I actually already own this book (it's Nora Roberts again), but in paperback, and this was a slightly damaged hardcover for three bucks ^^; that's less than I pay for lunch, so why not? I also bought The Blue Sword (one of my all time favorite books, but that was for regular price... I don't know where my copy is, I think my sister ate it or something.

Augusto, I'm begging you: WHAT HAPPENS AT THE END OF HAIBANE RENMEI? I once spent two hours looking for spoilers and never found them... my favorite character was, damn it, I can't remember if it was Rekki or Rakka, but it was the dark-haired girl that was temporarily "married" to that other guy. ;_; Telllllllllll meeeeeeeeee! Please!

::tired:: Gonna read Anne Freaks now, one of the weirdest manga in the world..

People. Really.

In response to comments on my last blog entry...

1) Sarah, why don't you call me? I mean, I'm not really the calling type, even when you lived here in Burbank (recall that last half of second semester of complete nothingness?)... ^^; I'm sorry, I just stink at calling. *makes memo* well, call me too, one of these days (I only really remember to call people back, not to initate calls), and we'll get together :> (Do I owe you a dollar? I think I do.)

And Sinbad was GOOD? >.> ::haven't seen it yet:: It had a very painful opening weekend. Dreamworks released comments that are rather anti-Nemo.

Person number two gets a particularly long response, and so if you're looking for you, it's a continued message.

3) Augusto, I think they were joking and I also thought your comment was amusing because I am indeed particularly uncreative in terms of layouts. (:P Then again, your last like, three blog layouts have all had columns on the left.) Btw, I watched like five episodes of Haibane Renmei (do you even HAVE a commenting space on your blog? I just see tan), and although it's really nice, I COULDN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE. Soo excrucatingly slow. >.> Very nice art, though. (It reminded me too much of Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou, which I do read, but still..)

4) Andrew, no hot burning love on my blog with side bars of "if you know what I mean" :P And no, the grammar thing was not specifically a burn on you... just a comment on your personality. How many times do you remember correcting anyone's grammar? ^_^ I seem to vaguely remember some odd IM conversations..

Person number 2 is continued for special purposes.

Well, hey :P It's my new blog layout. What do you people think? I'm not really that color-coordinated or HTML talented (Joan did the actual work for this), but here goes anyway ^^; Stacy said it hurt her eyes when it scrolled a lot, oops. If it's that bad, don't scroll fast :P

This looks crap in 800x600 btw. -.-

For my sisters: I hope my sisters are doing good in - where, GERMANY? - and I wanted to tell Joan that I've been checking your e-mail, and you've only gotten flight check e-mails saying that your flight is on schedule. Plus, no one has submitted themselves to the PTutu fanlisting yet... oh, and QS joined the ML. People are posting fanfics! Dun dun dun (not that many, only like, two). I've also blocked various porn-spammers and also have updated Ribon. ^^; Our translator is not done yet. I hope you guys are having fun! Wow, Europe ^^

On other news... okay, the winter formal thing is DEAD. I'm not giving anyone a photo if you're all gonna whine about it like that.. like a dog with a chewbone, for pity's sake. -.- Stacy lost hers, btw, so unless you want a scan... hmmmm, you're on your own.

About the layout :) Isn't Alexiel gorgeous? I have the full-color scan on my computer, and it's SO much prettier.. you can see all the detail of the artwork. Broke my heart to crop and resize. In Angel Sanctuary, she is one of the most blessed - and hidden - of angels, but she rebels against God and basically goes on this very long, bloody quest (meaning she killed everyone in sight) in order to save herself and what she desired (saving her brother Rociel). The rebellion started when a very deranged angel broke her out of her imprisonment, whereupon she very nearly destroyed all of heaven. (The very deranged angel was her lover, Lucifer - yes, that Lucifer.) Eventually, she was caught, and this other angel that was in love with her (unrequited) got a little.. jealous ("If she won't be with me, then...") and sentenced her to be reincarnated over and over again, living each time a life of pain, destruction, and murder before dying brutally at a young age. (Once, she was burned at the stake, another time, she was cut into little pieces by a serial murderer... etc.) Lucifer was, prior to this, imprisoned in the sword Nanatsusaya, lost his memories, then was controlled by Alexiel as her primary weapon (there's lots of scenes with them killing everything). After her sentence, he tried to track down her, lifetime after lifetime... even if he didn't know why. ;_; (And then he usually got to watch her die. Ouch.)

I love this couple (that's Lucifer holding her to the right) because they're both incredibly insane, but they really do love each other ^^ in their own twisted sense. As she said once, he is the only one who defied God for her ^^ it was soooo romantic! (And then he killed her. But that was how he was defying God for her!) I was so happy when they finally were together again (that'd be the scenes on the right and left). I love this couple... they're so much better than stupid Setsuna and his stupider sister Sara. Ignoring the fact that they're brother and sister, they're both just SO ANNOYING, the latter especially. Did she ever stop being so perfect? NO. "I love you, older brother!" [twenty volumes later] "I STILL LOVE YOU!" Ahh, shut the F up.

I borrowed X-Men from Tanya, so I think I'll go watch it now ^^ I have hot cheetos to go with it. And tapatio and tabasco sauce. Really lethal combination, so I don't recommend it unless you really like hot stuff. ^.^ Comment on my new entry! Tell me if you think the color combo of black and white is too harsh on thy eyes.

Btw, last thing: in Hanazakari no Kimitachie [For You In Full Blossom], miracles happened in the last chapter, and Sano told Mizuki that he loved her... AND SHE ACTUALLY REALIZED HE DIDN'T MEAN "LIKE FRIENDS" like she did the prior four times, the stupid freaking airhead. And in the next chapter, SHE TOLD HIM THAT SHE LOVED HIM TOO. Miracles. I thought it would take another twenty volumes. AND THEY ACTUALLY KISSED. WITH BOTH OF THEM CONSCIOUS, AWAKE, AND AWARE OF WHAT IS GOING ON. NO MORE UNCONSCIOUS ONE SIDED GROPING.

Never mind that she doesn't know that he knows that she's a girl and not a guy. Never mind that she now thinks Sano is gay. Never mind that Sano hasn't exactly told her that he knows she's a girl for the TWO YEARS THEY'VE BEEN LIVING TOGETHER. Never mind that Mizuki is GUTLESS, DENSE, IGNORANTLY CRUEL, AND POTENTIALLY HARMFUL TO ALL LIVING CREATURES. -.-

[hates mizuki]

Well, good for Sano. He only had to shake her and shove her against a wall and yell it in her face for her to get it.

God, I wrote the LONGEST BLOG ENTRY and I accidentally hit "back", and now it's gone. I'm so pissed >.>

Anyway, I meant to have a blog layout up today, but I'm frankly exhausted. I've been sleeping from noon to midnight, and I'm STILL TIRED. I went to Taleen and Tanya's b-day sleepover - what, two days ago? - and I got no sleep whatsoever ;_; I'll talk about that in a sec.

I'm gonna delete Chris' comment from the last entry because 1) it had his full number in it (uh, Chris, you just don't DO that on the internet) and 2) I dislike the word "fag", as it's rather trashy (never mind how I talk in real life).

On Dell computers: I'm sure they are more expensive (undoubtedly), but I tend to doubt to wonder about the ease of acquiring Windows and stuff like that (options for powerpoint, etc), since that's usually done through the Dell Company. I mean, Dell is just clicking buttons. Plus, my family is not big on individually upgrading our computers... for one, it seems to never work (maybe that's because it's Dell), and two, we're not big on changing, and we've been using Dell for the last 7 computers we've bought. (Mine, my dad's, Sohyun's, Joan's, the one Sohyun took to college, Sohyun's laptop, the one Joan took to college.. I don't think there are anymore. I think I might've overcounted, too, because I can't remember if the two before these were from Dell or not.)

Oh, yeah :P Pichu is so much cuter than Jigglypuff! (Pichu, ~ win!) And even though he does hurt himself with nearly every move, he's CUTER. And he's harder to smack.

On winterformal pictures... Uh, I only had a few wallets in the first place, and a larger one. I'm keeping the larger one, I'm keeping a wallet, and my sisters (two) each requested a picture. Meaning, I only had two left, and I gave them to the first who requested. Tanya got one, and Earl was the next to ask... meaning Earl gets the last photo. Favoritism, my ass. Anyone else who wants one can ask me to e-mail them the scan, or they can go beg the people I went with, since we're all in that photo and they've got some too... (::cough::stacyandsarah::)

The party was soo much fun ^^ all the people who went are so great ^^ so much fun. We watched "Sweet Home Alabama", which is 100% a chick flick, and it was sweet enough. Definitely, the guy was hot - when he walked onscreen without a shirt, we all screamed ^^ I personally am not all that fond of hairy chests, but he was really good looking >.> so why nitpick? I do like Reese Witherspoon, and she was good in this movie, but I HATED her character. "Dear me, I'm too good for everyone in my hometown, so let me flaunt it and be indecisive and everything. OH GOD! WHO DO I LOVE!?" Without her, the movie was just fine :P even if her fiance's mom looked like Martha Stewart.

We also watched The Terminator, which was okay. But WOW. MY eyes went O.O when Arnold S. (I'm not going to spell that last name) walked on screen, butt naked. Um, wow, he was really built fifteen years ago. Like, a LOT. No wonder he was Mr. Universe six times. The protector dude (which had a much skinnier butt) was the father, no surprise since we saw a flashback with him clutching the polaroid of her. (Polaroids are not that good.)

Oh, yeah :P Stacy, do you still have my polaroid of me and Harry Potter from the 20th? ::snickers::

I like how Andrew corrected Earl's grammar. It's just one of those "never-happens" things.

Some other things... one, Tanya's mom makes really good chicken, and two, Tanya and I had the BEST game of Mafia ^^ we played Mafia for like, four hours, and Tanya and I were Mafia one time, and ::snickers:: It was one of those perfect games where no one suspected us, because we managed to murder anyone who would (Taleen). Taleen is one scary citizen when one is Mafia.

For some odd reason, we played around fifteen games of Mafia.. and I was Mafia at least TEN TIMES. I don't know what this says about my personality, but it was just really weird >.> I was partners with Alice four times, and we lost three of them :P I kept getting voted off with her, lol. I don't know if I had MAFIA written on my face or something, but I did manage to win a bunch of other times (with Melissa twice).. which was just fun :P whenever I was citizen, the mafia kept murdering me FIRST ROUND. ;_: what did I do? (Alice said I scared her with my guesses, lol.)

Anyway, I had a fantastic time at their b-day party ^^ so much fun! They've got the most.. interesting bedroom, btw, lol. ^^ They've got an X-2 poster up, a Matrix poster (Taleen was debating destroying it), two Star Wars posters, a Moulin Rouge poster, three Star Wars PUZZLES (I don't know how they got these pinned to the wall), and last but certainly not least, 365 Star Wars day-calendar slips bordering the entirety of the room. The room has all this movie-merchandise energy flowing in it :> I enjoyed it, it's just like the verve of energy that the twins have.. I mean, the room just SCREAMS, "I LOVE MOVIES!!!!!!"

The DVD collection next to the TV, with at least twenty DVD's (I have like, seven), helped. I haven't even watched half the movies they own >.> I feel behind.

Oh, and for the record, Orlando Bloom is hotter than Johnny Depp, and Ben Affleck is the hottest of all :P so theeeeere!

[We, uh, were having an interesting debate.]

I'm going to go see Pirates of the Caribbean on Wednesday ^^ good stuff! Anyway, I'd best go back to sleep now, before my sleeping schedule gets really whack. Bye now!

Subject | "Layouts, Smashing"

I don't know where Augusto gets the energy to be the layout whore that he is, because I am SO TIRED right now and all I've been doing is editing this new blog layout's picture for like, the last several hours. It's done, and Alexiel looks very nice (the new layout is all Angel Sanctuary)... but I'm tired.

Played more Smash Bros. Melee today (I can't get away from it) when I wasn't cleaning the house. There are FOUR - not three, not two, but FOUR - sliding glass doors in my house, damn it. Do you know how much glass that is to clean? I gave up after the first door took me twenty minutes. (One sparkling door and three dusty ones. Keh. It's not worth it, either - when my dog wants people to pay attention to her, she has a tendency to lick the door. I keep thinking I'm going to end up poisoning her if I clean the door.) Don't think I was lazy, because I also cleaned the kitchen, washed the dishes, cleaned the family room, cleaned the dining room table (which is lots more glass), cleared up the computer room, and cleaned out my room. (heh. I didn't have to use the Black Hoover of Doom, though - Joan did that. That thing has scared me ever since I was little.)

New layout won't be up until tomorrow or day after because Greymatter is a big fat pain in the ass to change layouts, because I have to go through every single type of page and make sure everything works (which it never does even when I do check). Plus, I need another divider between my profile and the actual blog.

My sisters leave for Europe later today on a two-three week trip (my mind's trippy; can't remember how long right now), at about seven in the morning. I'm supposed to wake up and see them off.

Uh-huh. I'd like you to take a look at the time this blog entry was posted, please.

Hmph. Oh, well, they'll just shake me awake if I refuse otherwise. >.> I told them to bring me back a plastic Eiffel Tower.

They said "No".

Anyway, I suppose the house will be fairly empty this summer... not really odd to me, though, because they've both been away at college since Joan graduated in '00. I've got two more years :x this sucks.

Oh, god, my winamp player just turned on a Sailor Moon dub song. I didn't even know I still had this on the computer. "Rainy Day Man"? Excuse me? I used to love this song. WHY? It rings horribly in my ears. ::deletes mp3:: I only have about 170 megs on this comp as it is. My dad said he might get me a new computer :O I would kill for one, even more than I want DSL (I have 56K). He said it "depends". Dell has this new desktop out... 3.46 gigabyte processor and 200 gigs of hard drive. O.O The one that I'm using crashes every other day (Windows ME...), has 28 gigs of hard drive, and an 800 megabyte processor.

You can see why I'd kill for a new computer.

Been reading "Aoi Spice", which is a rather cutesy manga about a normal high school girl who gets a boyfriend... a tall, dark, handsome boyfriend that happens to be a rock star. Pfffft. :P So incredibly cliched, but it has some interesting moments, plus her boyfriend is a refreshing change from all the Shinjo-Mayuish guys I've been reading lately (that would be the ones who go, "Ah, I think you're hot, let me have sex with you... oh, you're not willing? Pah! Who cares, I AM!"), since he's rather quirky and funny. (Oh, and nice to young children, of course. Prospective father, I guess. >.>)

What resolution does everyone use to look at this blog, anyway? PLEASE tell me no one looks at this in 800x600. I use 1280x1024, and I designed my newest layout to look that way, and though I tested it in other resolutions, it looks best in at least 1024x768. (Talk about cramped in 800x600.)

I need to buy a birthday present for my fellow Key Club Publicity Chair and a dear Historian. :P Star Wars posters?

Joan says I read too much manga. To get an idea of how much manga I have, think about this - manga is literally just lots and lots of image files zipped up to take less room. Image files are not that big, right?

Well, I have 16 gigabytes of manga. But it's really not that much, because some scans are much higher quality than others... and I burned off the complete series that I have, like Marmalade Boy and Angel Sanctuary. AS had a good ending in terms of every character but Setsuna and Sara, I think - oh, and the little demon girl, forgot her name. :P Kira-senpai [Lucifer] had the best ending ... really good death scene, really good betrayal scene, really good romance scene, and yes in that order.

I was reading through my old blog entries and I realized that Earl wanted a picture from Winter Formal. Oops. ^^; I'll give you one next time I see you! heh.

I downloaded a new voice on my AOL program. Rather than the generic "Welcome!", "You've Got Mail!" and "Goodbye", I have a new voice.

The Terminator. AKA Arnold.

I do not lie :P it's prett funny. Welcome became "Where haff you beeeen?", You've got Mail --> "Check your mail" and goodbye (this one is the best) --> "You haff been terminated". ::snickers:: So very weird... it's getting kinda irritating to randomly be commanded to check my mail, though, but it's better than the old message, I suppose.

I have a lot of work to do today... I guess I should sleep, so that my sisters can wake me up in an hour and a half. Joy.

On Smash: I got Pichu today, much to my amusement; he's so incredibly cute, and so incredibly useless. He hurts himself when he uses almost any of his attacks; I can't even do a regular Smash-A attack without his percentage meter going up. And for pity's sake, quick attack doesn't even use electricity, yet he still manages to hurt himself. His one plus is that when I was fighting Bowser, Pichu is just small enough and Bowser (on adventure) just large enough that he couldn't hit me once. Oh, well - he's still more useful than the most USELESS CHARACTER EVER, which is Jigglypuff. (What the heck is the point of him FALLING ASLEEP, anyway?)

I spent two hours on one of the special levels, trying to beat Samus-Kirby-Fox-Falcon-Falco in that order with Ness. I FAILED. I could get to Captain Falcon easily with very little-to-no damage, and he'd beat me up a little, but as soon as I got to Falco, it was just a complete disaster. I blew myself up at least five times with various crates (especially by the second hour - I was getting desperate for items), and everytime I tried to attack Falco, he'd either a) turn it back on me, b) air dodge or c) somehow manage to get away without me seeing AND plant an attack smack on Ness' stupid hat while doing so. I would've kept playing, but my thumb was reallly starting to hurt and I needed to work on the new layout. I guess part of the problem is that I'm too dependent on the characters that I use most often, which would be Zelda, Pikachu and Marth, so I really dislike using other characters.

Oh, and the fact that Ness is a slow, stupid and annoying little midget doesn't help.

My sister was somewhat amused. ("This is supposed to relieve stress, not cause it," she said. HA! More communist lies!) She had a point - I was cursing my head off at the television. I'm not sure all the characters are physically able of doing some of the things I yelled at them to do - some of the actions being anatomically impossible, that is, and then the fact that Kirby is just one puffball... I'll work on it again tomorrow until I win... I don't know what to do, because I've beaten classic and adventure with all the characters I have, and all other levels but this particular one. ^^ (The legendary pokemon level was a bit odd.. ::smacks Jigglypuff:: kept going after my poke balls, which I might be willing to leave alone if 3/4 of them didn't have some type of bird that could potentially massacre me.)

Wow, it's kinda late. Or kinda early? I have to send my sisters off in an HOUR? ... Maybe I should just stay up T_T hmm, probably will.

Lastly..

Yesterday was the 24th anniversary of my parents' marriage (which is why I was cleaning), which is good for them, I guess :P they were both working today, though ^^; oh, well.

And, happy Fourth of July, everyone! The first year I will spend it without my sisters, alas, but nevertheless, a very happy fourth! Another year of our country being ruled by the president that my dear and close friends know exactly how much I admire. :Ŝ well, anyway, go eat food and be happy... and remember, fireworks are illegal in Burbank, as the sign outside of BHS says for some odd reason. I'm tempted to throw firecrackers at it.

If I knew where to get firecrackers. >.>

[I hope my sisters have a great time in Europe and meet lots of men ^_^ okay, not the second part (because that's just creepy), but they should really have a fantastic time. It's Europe! *_*]

Wow, I'm blogging far too often these days.

Andrew, is there nothing to do in Valenica? For god's sake, get a season pass to 6 Flags and go there and get drunk or something.

Either that or hit yourself in the head repeatedly with something metal. Like a golf club. Or a spoon. (I can't believe you linked that picture.)

I went to Sav-On (is that how you spell it?) today, and I bumped into Stacy there :P I talked to her and her sisters for a bit. Sohyun said Heather looked freaked out by me. ::squishes Heather in a big fat hug:: Oh-hoh-hoh-hoh-hoh! How silly, I know Heather adores me.

I am not tutoring two kids for an hour and a half for $10. Just thought I'd mention that.

At any rate, my sister bought me a birthday present today. Surprise! Super Smash Bros. Melee ^^ yep, it rocks. [Beware, the rest of this entry is about this Gamecube game, so depart if you're not interested.] I played it before when Earl lent it to me, so I just clicked in the new CD and played where I left off, which is a major advantage over the damn cartridges... when I first played Zelda: Ocarina of Time, I rented it, and so when I finally got my own copy, I had to start all over >.<

At any rate, I guess I must have been at a point to get a lot of new characters, because as soon as I used Mario to beat Classic mode, I got a secret character - Dr. Mario. :P Rather than throwing fireballs, as is normal, he DRUGS THE OTHER CHARACTER. I kid you not. Then I used Bowser to beat Classic and WHOOSH! I enter another stage to get a secret character.

I'm really annoyed at myself. This is the only time that I've faced a Secret Character in the character challenge to win that character (this will go over the heads of people who don't play Smash) that I haven't won 1st time around. I was playing as BOWSER, and I HATE BOWSER, and then suddenly there's this fast little guy running circles around me and air dodging every time I try to smush him into the ground.

I swear on my heart and soul, I would have gotten him eventually if he hadn't picked up that hammer before me.

:P Anyway, I did beat him the second time (had to beat Classic again, though), WITH BOWSER, which is its own accomplishment because I really hate using Bowser. Ha! His name is Marth (for a second I thought this was the Almighty God Roy that Earl kept talking about), and I really, really like him. He's pretty damn fast and his B and Smash-B attacks are nice.... but I haven't quite figured out what down-B does, because as far as I can see, he charges up for about two seconds, then goes back to normal without doing anything. ?_?

After I got Marth, I couldn't resist :P I had to play as him. So I beat Classic with him, and *poof*, who becomes a challenger but the Amazing Almighty God Roy! (See above.) I knocked him off in about two seconds, which made me wonder why Earl said he was so good :P Heh. I wanted his and Marth's trophies (I wanted to see what games they were from, because Marth is really good looking :P nice outfit and uh, nice, uh, face), so I beat Classic & Adventure with Roy, too. Roy is a really handy character - he's certainly very strong - but I prefer Marth because Marth has a level of class that Roy doesn't, a more interesting storyline (although less romantic, pity), aaaaand Marth is just better looking. ^^ Whatever, he's still a really good character.

I've beaten Classic & Adventure modes with all the characters I have except Luigi and Dr. Mario... I still need to acquire Mewtwo (I bet I have like, two hours of versus time) and Pichu... I wonder who else I need? Argh, I don't want to think about it, especially since I still have three million secret levels left. >.>

Why am I blogging so much? Someone shoot me. Oh, dear, lookie the time.

I wanna know how Andrew possibly thought that a youkai could be a squirrel in the context of, "two-headed youkai steed". Is Andrew riding squirrels? To be taken in the worst ways possible :P

Man, for that many comments in that little time.. we all have very little to do this summer.

SAT Prep schools? Kiss of DEATH. ^^ Stacy, I think you have me mixed up with someone... I never wanted to go to the same prep school as Jessica, because I'm not going to SAT prep school at all. (It's expensive, my sisters didn't go, and I'd rather have a new computer.) I get to run my computer program until my eyes fall out. Nope, prep school is not for me, nor will it ever be :x I have to study on my own, eep. We'll see how I do.

I don't want to think about Thomson's summer assignment or SAT prep right now.. my god, I have this tutoring job at TEN IN THE MORNING. What an ungodly hour. And lookit here, it's already almost three in the morning, and I really hope I don't turn off the alarm clock in my sleep tomorrow morning because that would be supremely bad if they knocked on the door and I was asleep (that happened once last summer).

......

::goes to read a book:: Instead of sleeping. Damn, what is wrong with me? I don't get it.

Oh, yeah, I forgot. Nora Roberts = crack.

I volunteered to beta-read some Princess Tutu fanfiction. I want to, but I can't believe I did. I mean, last person I beta-read for was so upset by my comments that ... well, never mind >.< I don't particularly want to remember just right now.

I like how I just said I needed to see "big green guy movie" in my last entry and everyone gave me their opinion on the Hulk :P that bad, eh? Well, I paid money to see Charlie's Angels, and not much can be worse than that.

Best movie I've seen all summer long? Finding Nemo, baby. :P

Animatrix is bad? I heard they got really good directors. Oh, well. :>

Movies I will see:
- Pirates of the Caribbean (!!! Orlando Bloom!)
- Legally Blonde II (very... pink, isn't it?)
- Sinbad (see, I hate Dreamworks - A LOT - so every once in awhile, I have to see a Dreamworks movie, so that some rabid Dreamworks fan can come up to me and say, "OH MY GOD, HOW CAN YOU HATE DREAMWORKS, DO YOU EVEN WATCH ANY OF THEIR MOVIES?!" and I can say, "YES, I HAVE, AND THEY SUCK!")
- Alex and Emma (I heard it was bad from so many people, I have to see it.)
- The Hulk (hee)
- The Italian Job (I heard this was good.. anyone see it?)

Lots of movies. Good thing I have a lot of time.

I'm a moderator on a mailing list (a yahoo group one), by the way, and since the list is not publicly open (meaning you can't join unless your e-mail address is approved), I have to sort through the people who want to join and approve and deny applications. (This is to avoid subscribing spammers.)

The last five people who wanted to join (all today):
- blowonmypusse6
- iluv2bnude1
- scorewithmypusse4
- bedroom_eyz4u692
- teaser_fem69z7

The last one is pretty tame, although the one that makes me laugh is "onewomanonethong6", which appeared a couple days ago. ^_^ What is wrong with spammers, anyway? They need a life apart from making up ridiculous bots that make up ridiculous e-mail addresses. Well, isn't that illuminating?

Mmmmmm.

Blaaaargh.

Pfffffffffffft.

Blaaaaaaaaah.

Muuuuuuaaaaaaaaooooooooo.

New blog layout soon.

My sister fixed it for me in like, two seconds flat.

-___-

So tired.

Summer. Heat. Is. So. Hot.

Blaargh.

Bleeeeeeeeeeeeah.

Saw Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle. ::twitches:: Supreme mucho headache. Ouchies.

Need to see big green guy movie. Haven't seen yet.

Hmm. Have to call Taleen and Tanya. Must see Pirates on opening day. Orlando Bloom. Yum.

Yes, Aragorn is hot. But he looks scary blonde. Orlando Bloom, on the other hand..

Blaah.

Been reading manga. Am now re-reading a book I like.

The book ----> Naked in Death

It's the first in the In Death series by J.D. Robb (which is really Nora Roberts writing under a different name). ^_^ I own all 18 books so far in the series, which is pretty pathetic.

This here --> Imitation in Death is the new one, and this one here --> Remember When is the Nora Roberts/J.D. Robb crossover, which I also want. (Yeah, I know they're by the same person...) God, Amazon has the UGLIEST cover up for that thing. But, anyway, tragically enough, they both come out in SEPTEMBER.

My lust for these books is outweighed by my disgust of school. Bleeech. Couldn't one of them come out in August? Noooooooooooo.

Been writing fanfic again. If you click on the "more" or "comments" link, you'll see a bit I wrote from the beginning of chapter 2 of When Ice Burns (an Inuyasha fanfiction), which I haven't updated in over a year. :x Tell me, does it or does it not sound incredibly convoluted?
